The landscape has changed so much in the last few years, and community-led Pride events feel more important than ever. As we look forwards to next year, and a hopeful return to in-person events, what should Pride look like? What does it mean to you?

Join organisers from Free Pride & Trans Pride Scotland, Scotland’s only national community-led Pride events, for an open discussion on the future of Pride. Chaired by Oceana from Scottish Trans Alliance, our speakers will give some insight into organising grassroots events, and what we think they have to offer.

Access and how to attend:

When you join one of our events, there will be information visible on screen to let you know you’re in the right place. Our event hosts will introduce the event verbally, and this will also appear written in the chat box. We also hope to have BSL interpreting and/or live transcription available.

Using Zoom

This event will be run on Zoom. There will be opportunities for discussion during the event, where you will be able to turn on your camera and microphone if you want to. It's also fine to leave these switched off. You will also be able to leave written comments in the chat box. We’ll ask you to be mindful of not over-filling the chat box, as too many messages at once can cause difficulties for people using screen readers.

Zoom can be accessed using the app or on your internet browser, and can be used on computers, tablets and smartphones that are connected to the internet. Zoom uses around 1GB data per hour. Most of our events will last 1-1.5hours, and so will use around 1-2GB data.
